Our Mission

ChangetheRX, nonprofit 501(c)(3), receives tax deductible donations to distribute NARCAN® (opioid reversal nasal spray) to as many people as possible to prevent accidental drug poisoning.

The widespread availability of NARCAN® is crucial in combating the opioid crisis. By ensuring that this life-saving medication is accessible to everyone, we empower individuals to intervene swiftly, save lives, and contribute to a more compassionate and proactive response to opioid addiction.

Grateful for my patient, who received two free NARCAN® for her Gen Z children to prevent accidental drug poisoning.
My patient tragically lost her son to an accidental drug poisoning five years ago.
ChangetheRX is forever grateful for sharing her story to help save precious lives.

Fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid, is claiming the lives of young individuals, with a significant number unaware of its existence.

Responding to an Opioid Overdose

**IF SOMEONE IS EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY**

Having Narcan on Hand Can Help Save a Life

NARCAN® is a potentially lifesaving medication designed to help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose in minutes. Since most opioid overdoses occur in the home and are most often witnessed, having a NARCAN® rescue kit nearby can make all the difference.

One Pill Can Kill

According to the CDC, fentanyl was involved in 76% of drug-related deaths among individuals aged 15-24 in the year 2020.

107,375 people in the USA died of drug overdoses and poisonings in the 12-month period ending in January 2022, with 67% of those deaths involving synthetic opioids like Fentanyl.

Some of these deaths were from Fentanyl mixed with other illicit drugs like cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin, with many users unaware they were actually taking fentanyl. Only 2mg is considered a potentially lethal dose; it’s particularly dangerous for someone who does not have a tolerance to opioids.

Accidental Fentanyl drug poisoning may strike your loved ones who unwittingly take a non-prescription medication purchased from social media or anywhere on the web. If you witness an event that may lead to immediate threat to human health or safety, you should report it to your local police or law enforcement authority. You may also report it anonymously to the DEA.

Help reduce accidental Fentanyl drug poisoning by immediately reporting to the DEA what appears to be a possible violation of controlled substances sales featured on social media sites.
